Rules for scorecard


1.OUT OF BOUNDS – Rule 18.2
a. Beyond the fences and hedges and the perimeter of the course or on the sea shore.
b. Beyond the white posts on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 14th,
15th and 18th holes (internal out of bounds - white posts left of the 5th hole when playing the 5th hole).
c. The paths and paving around the Clubhouse, the trolley park near the Professional’s shop, all car parks and the path and tarmac area leading to and behind the first tee.
d. Within the Greenkeepers’ compound and Pump House as designated by white posts.

2. PRACTICE PUTTING GREEN
A ball coming to rest on the practice putting green MUST be lifted and dropped within one club length of the nearest point of relief not nearer the hole without penalty.

3. MOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS - relief under Rule 15-2a

4. ABNORMAL COURSE CONDITIONS - Rule 16
Ruts and tracks on closely mown areas made by greenkeepers’ vehicles, GUR, animal dung.

5. WINTER CONDITIONS
Preferred lies - applies to closely mown areas.

6. DISTANCE MARKERS
Centre of fairways distance markers are at White (200), Yellow (150) and Red (100) yards from the front of the green.

7. PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULE.
General Penalty Match Play - loss of hole or two Stroke Penalty in Stroke play

8. Beware of walkers on the course as a public footpath runs through the course on holes 1, 12, 13. Please DO NOT
PLAY your shot if anyone is in range along the coastal path holes 9, 10, 11. Throughout the course - do not play your shot if anyone is in range.


The 1st hole must be played as a dogleg.

Beware of flying golf balls.

9. Bunkers full of water are to be treated as abnormal course conditions and relief can be taken under Rule 16
without penalty.
